Privacy Policy

Effective October 2, 2026

Palette Master (palettemaster.art) is operated by Imaj Associates, based in Florida, USA. This policy explains what information the site handles, what it does not collect, and the choices you have. The short version: your photos stay on your device unless you choose to publish a paint-night event for guests, we don't ask for your name or email, and we don't sell personal information.

Your photos stay on your device

When you load a photo into the Palette Planner, your web browser reads it and analyzes it directly on your computer or phone. The photo is not uploaded to our servers. If you choose Save project, the photo, your settings and your palette are stored in your own browser on that device so you can reopen them later. We cannot see them, and you can delete them from My projects or by clearing your browser's site data. Paints you mark as owned and your studio settings are stored the same way.

Palette Master Party events

Palette Master Party hosts can create a free account with just an email address. We store that email address and the events a signed-in host saves (the painting, event details, paints, colors, logo and promotions) on our server so the host can open them on any device. We use the email address only to send sign-in codes and important account notices. A host can ask us to delete their account and saved events by emailing jeff@imajassociates.com. If a host chooses Guest QR code, the host screen uploads that event to our server so guests' phones can load it. This includes the painting (cropped to the canvas area), the event name, date and host name, the logo, paint names, colors and any partner promotions. Anyone with the event code or link can view a published event, and published events are deleted automatically after 30 days. Guests who join don't need to give us any information. Hosts should publish only images and promotions they have the right to share.

Information we collect

We collect your email address only when you give it to us: to have a palette emailed to you, to join the Palette Master Plus waitlist, to subscribe to our newsletter, or to create a Party host account. If you ask us to email you a palette, we use your address to send that one email and don’t add you to any list, unless you also tick the newsletter box and then confirm by clicking the link we send. For newsletter subscribers and the Plus waitlist we keep your email address, where you signed up, the date, and whether you confirmed, so we have a record of your permission. The newsletter (painting tips, palette ideas and new features, about once a month) and waitlist emails always include an unsubscribe link, and unsubscribing takes effect right away. We never sell or rent your email address. We don’t collect payment details, and your palette settings (medium, number of tubes and similar choices) are used only inside your browser while you use the app.

Like almost every website, our hosting provider automatically records basic technical information when pages are requested: your IP address, browser type, the page you visited, the referring page and the time of the request. These server logs are used to keep the site running, secure and fast, are not used to identify you, and are kept only as long as the host needs them for those purposes.

Cookies

Palette Master uses Google Analytics to understand how people use the site, such as which pages are visited, roughly where visitors are (country or city), the device and browser used, and how they found us. Google Analytics sets cookies to do this, and Google processes the data under its own privacy policy. Your photos, paintings and event details are never sent to Google Analytics. We do not use advertising cookies. You can opt out with the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on (tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout) or by blocking cookies in your browser. WordPress also sets cookies for site administrators and party hosts who sign in. Retailer websites you visit through our shopping links may set their own cookies, as described in the next section.

Shopping links and affiliate disclosure

The shopping list links to art supply retailers, currently Jackson's Art Supplies and Blick Art Materials. Some of these links may be affiliate links, which means Palette Master may earn a commission if you buy something after clicking, at no extra cost to you. Commissions never affect which paints the app recommends; recommendations are based only on the colors in your photo.

When you click a shopping link, you leave Palette Master. The retailer, and affiliate networks such as Awin that track referrals, may set cookies and collect information under their own privacy policies. We receive only summary reports of referred sales, not your personal details.

Services we rely on

The site loads fonts from Google Fonts, which means your browser requests font files from Google's servers and Google receives your IP address as part of that request. The site is hosted by Cloudways. Emails from Palette Master (palettes you ask for, sign-in codes, newsletters and waitlist updates) are sent through Elastic Email, which processes the recipient’s address and the message to deliver it; newsletter and waitlist contacts may also be stored in our Elastic Email account. These providers process data only to deliver their services, under their own privacy policies. The Palette Master Party host screen also loads a small QR code library from cdnjs (Cloudflare), which receives your IP address as part of that request.

How we share information

We do not sell, rent or trade personal information. We share technical information only with the service providers listed above, or when required by law.

Children

Palette Master is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them.

Your choices and rights

You can unsubscribe from the newsletter or the Plus waitlist at any time with the link in any of those emails. You can also ask us what information we hold about you, or ask us to correct or delete it, including your email address and any Party host account. Contact us at the address below and we will respond within 30 days. You can also block or delete cookies in your browser settings at any time.

Changes to this policy

If we change how Palette Master handles information, for example by adding accounts or saved projects, we will update this page and the effective date above before the change takes effect.
